Marrow Fine started in 2016 when Jillian Sassone, a self-taught designer based in Southern California — took her grandmother Mary's heirloom and redesigned it into something she could actually wear every day. That first piece is where the name comes from: Marrow, as in the bones of something old and meaningful, worth treasuring and reimagining. What grew from that one ring is now an independent jewelry house known for making rings that that are timeless with a twist.

There are a few different ways to get there with us.

Jillian sources exceptional stones — antique old mine cut diamonds, rare colored gems, unusual cuts that you won't find in a catalog — and designs singular settings around each one. When the piece sells, it's gone. Our one-of-a-kind engagement rings are the fastest path to owning something truly irreplaceable. You'll find them in our ready-to-ship collection: a 2.52ct old mine lab-created diamond ring, a 1.21ct old mine diamond spray ring with emerald accents, and other finished pieces that are ready to wear now.

This is the work we love most. You might come to us with a stone you've already fallen for, a reference image, a family piece you'd like to reimagine, or just a feeling you can't quite articulate yet. We've worked from all of it. Our custom process is a real collaboration — Jillian and her team talk through your vision, walk you through options, and develop the design before anything is made. The result is a ring that's entirely yours: not a catalog ring, because it never was one.
