I've always loved to travel. It gets me out of my routine and it's where some of my favorite ideas find me. A color I can't stop thinking about, sculptural and unique architecture, a pattern or motif that keeps popping up, and the way light illuminates the cityscape. I carry those things home, and sooner or later they show up in my work.

Orange-toned Marrakech collage: the Baroque Keshi Pearl and Burnt Orange Enamel Ring above a Moroccan tea tray on a white pouf, with a market stall and a terracotta wall

Marrakech was an endless source of inspiration. I went in the fall of 2024, and I have never felt so switched on. It was as if my senses were turned all the way up. The spices, the sounds, and especially the colors, which were so bright and saturated they almost didn't look real. My friends and I wandered the Medina for hours every day, and by night I was still buzzing too much to sleep. I don't think I was in bed before 2 or 3 AM the entire trip.

Green-toned Marrakech collage: the peridot heart ring on hot pink enamel with skeins of dyed yarn, green tilework and painted spice tins

I came home with a camera roll full of color, and it never really left me. Piles of dyed yarn, painted spice tins, glossy green tile. I spent the next year designing a handful of rich enamel and gemstone rings, aiming to capture that same feeling of walking around the city wide-eyed and overwhelmed in the best way.

Blue-toned Marrakech collage of cobalt garden walls and palms, centered on the tanzanite heart and boulder opal ring with berry enamel

Enamel gave me a way to put those rich colors onto a ring. Each of these three one-of-a-kind rings sits on a domed enamel band—in hot pink, berry, and burnt orange—and each one is set with stones I chose to match the color combinations that kept popping up on the trip. Opal and peridot wrapped in pink enamel create a bright and playful ring. The striking bluish-purple tanzanite and boulder opal combined with dark berry enamel create a deep and dramatic feel. For a warmer and airier ring, burnt orange enamel is brightened up with the glowy luster of keshi pearls.

Inspiration finds me everywhere, from architecture and travel to the textures, colors, and quiet details of nature. My hope is that every Marrow piece feels beautifully made, deeply personal, and becomes something you'll reach for instinctively for years to come.

These three rings are meant to be worn boldly, and every ring in this series is one-of-one. They’re souvenirs of a truly memorable trip to Marrakech, and now they’re finally yours.
