Pucker Up, Buttercup: Buttercup Diamond Rings
January 17, 2019
The Buttercup ring, also referred to as a belcher setting, was popular during the Victorian era when floral motifs were exceedingly prominent. The scalloped edge between the prongs creates a beautiful petal look mimicking the golden flower representing happiness, merriment, and bliss. Which makes sense because we’re definitely overjoyed when we wear this piece!
We absolutely love this sweet setting and are so drawn to its dainty nature, which is what inspired Jillian to update this classic and create a style that will easily become an everyday piece. We decided to modernize her setting by using a rose cut diamond, also popular during the Victorian era. The geometric facets of the cut are a lovely juxtaposition to the feminine, floral style of the setting.
The Buttercup ring comes in a more classic white diamond or edgier black diamond version- both are stunning and offer their own unique look! Wear her as a stand-alone pinky ring or as the base of a rad stack! Her versatility is endless which makes her the perfect gift.
